IN THE COMMUNITY

One of the best ways LIWA can get its message across about Lung Disease is through community involvement - after all 1 in 4 Australians have chronic lung disease (that’s six million people).

LIWA does this through a series of high profile community events and activities. The aim of many of these events is to encourage members of the public to consider their lung health and to undertake a quick spirometery test to see how healthy their lungs are.

Other events are aimed at generating awareness of the work LIWA does and to generate funding so LIWA can continue with its research.
