Study outline Recruitment status

PIPF-016 - A year long study to to measure the potential benefits and the safety of treatment with Pirfenidone, a medication which is said to have anti-inflammatory and ant fibrotic actions. This medication is already approved in some countries other than Australia.
The medication is a tablet taken 3 times a day, with 14 visits over approx 14 months.
This is an international study. This study also offers patients the chance to participate in an open label extension program at the conclusion of the study.
