Ph D Top Up Scholarships

The Lung Institute of Western Australia (LIWA) offers PhD Top Up Scholarships to students with outstanding undergraduate results who attract Australian Postgraduate Awards or equivalent scholarships.

Students are encouraged to apply for supplementary awards valued at $10,000 per annum to top up their income for the duration of their research studies with LIWA.

The awards are open to applicants across Australia who intend to enrol at the University of Western Australia or Curtin University of Technology.

Applications for the LIWA PhD Top Up Scholarship close on Friday 30 October at 5pm.

Past PhD Students

LIWA is proud that many of its past PhD students have gone to hold notable research positions interstate and overseas at Institutes such as the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Centre, Monash Immunology and Stem Cell Laboratories, University College London, and receive awards such as the Marie Curie Fellowship.
